Maintenance & Performance Care

• Cleaning: Simply wipe down with a soft cloth dampened only with water. Avoid all abrasives and chemicals.
• Conditioning: After cleaning, apply McDermott Ultra-Glide Shaft Conditioner to restore the factory-slick feel.
• No Sanding: Never sand the surface of a Defy shaft; doing so will damage the finish and void the warranty.
• Tip Replacement: Due to the 0.125" ferrule and the no-sand surface, we recommend professional tip replacement through McDermott or an experienced carbon fiber specialist.
